James Page-Daniels was born November 8, 1999. He is a working multimedia artist and Graduate in Studio Art from the University of Texas Austin. James was born in Dallas, TX but grew up in the pacific northwest in Seattle. He began making art, sketching at 7 years old and continued to pursue art classes and studio courses in a variety of mediums throughout high school and into college. With a primary focus in sculpture and apparel design, James creates work that explores the relationship between organic/natural and geometric/fabricated forms , social/generational constructs, and beauty in the eye of the beholder. One consistent theme carried throughout James’ work is a clear progression in each piece from idea to finished form; from thought, to graphite on paper, to tactual solid steel or wood structure/form. In the future, James plans to pursue a career utilizing his creative skills as a designer while continuing freelance sculpture work.
